Well at my job my store owner wants to make me a manager. YAY! Been studying for it and getting to run a few shifts. A few managers been letting run them. Cant wait until I become one. Been getting told I am doing good so far with out not really knowing what I am doing. But best way to learn. At least I will know how to do my job better then some of the managers. YAY!!!

This is a true site. They are trying to destroy our chocolate!!! We have to stop the evil FDA from destroying our chocolate.Please get as many people as you can to mail FDA to stop this. I promise this is not a chain letter.

Dear FDA:

We solicit your support against the proposed and pending changes to chocolate (Docket # 2007P-0085), submitted by the Grocery Manufacturers Association/Food Products Association (GMA/FPA) on behalf of a number of organizations including the Chocolate Manufacturers Association (CMA). We understand that as part of this petition, the CMA has petitioned the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve a change in the Standard of Identity for chocolate products to allow for the use vegetable fats in chocolate and milk substitutes and to be permitted to call the product chocolate. We are opposed to these changes and say to GMA/FPI and particularly to the CMA,

"Don't Mess with Our Chocolate"

We love it just the way it is; made with 100% cocoa butter and real milk, rather than some concocted blend of fats and other substitutes. The following lists the primary reasons why we oppose their petition and why this is not in the best interest of the consumer:

Without proper labeling, consumers will find it difficult and confusing to differentiate the current gold standard of real chocolate vs. this new concoction, which has substitute ingredients. This will amount to economic fraud to the consumer as the product will become cheaper with inferior ingredients.

None of what is being proposed benefits the consumer, nor was any consumer research submitted to support such changes.

Their proposed formula will contain large quantities of bad Trans fats, which are not good for your health.

They are meddling with everything that we love about chocolate.

Cocoa butter is unique; vegetable fats can only masquerade as cocoa butter.

The eating properties, flavor and mouth feel will all be different.

All manufacturers, even those who do not want to support this, will be forced to convert to the new concoction due to the economic advantages associated with the new formula and their wanting to remain effectively competitive within the category. The net effect will be a total downgrade in the eating enjoyment and quality for chocolate.

For these reasons above, we strongly urge you to not allow the gold Standard of Identity of chocolate to be changed. Thank you for your support in sending the message to the CMA/GMA/FPA:

I planed a trip to a store for my first time since I moved down to the CT area to go to a local herbal store. This store has pagan meet and greets once a month so I planed my first trip there to fall on the meet and greet. Well two days before the meet and greet I got a mail saying it changed to thursday insead of Friday. I was so mad becouse in the past they never changed it before and now the one day I spent two weeks planing the trip they change it. Like most people out there I work for a living I cant change my days off in a drop of a dime. Not with that little notice. Now its my day off I was going to go and not, I guessed I go last night to some where elce to enjoy my day off but no, my BF tells me when I get off work its going to rain the whole day I have off. After the weather said it was going to be nice out the week and the days following before. I hate the fact I spent so much time planing this trip just for it to be ruin on me. I can not get a break, every time I get over worked and need a day off it gets ruined on me. I got the worst luck ever. All well what can you do? Just got to hope for the best and maybe get a break from my bad luck in the comming days.
